The Smartline Manager 5000's Interface Module enables the recording or
control of instruments that are not supported by the KNAUER software
over four channels. It can be used for detector recording over the analog
inputs, it can control the flow rate for HPLC pumps over the analog
outputs, or it can switch valves over the digital outputs. However, the
respective instrument must support this option. Please refer to the
respective instrument manual regarding this option.
The interface module does not have a stand-alone function; therefore,
control software (KNAUER ChromGate
®
EuroChrom 2000 for Windows as of version 3.05) is mandatory.
The interface module functions that are supported by the control
software can be found in the software manual. Configuring and
programming the Smartline Manager 5000 Interface Module's
control software is described in the respective manual of the
software.

Both of the light-emitting diodes under the "Interface" give information
about the condition of the interface module. The green "Busy" LED lights
shortly during calibration or when a command from the software is
received. The instrument is calibrated when it's turned on or a
