Installing the wall thermostat

• Mark where the bore holes should be. Use the wall mount to
help you do this: the semicircular side needs to be pointing
upwards for this purpose.
• Mark a position in the middle of the elongated holes for the
screws.
• Bore the holes using a 6 mm drill.
• Secure the wall mount in place using the screws and dowels
provided. When you do this, the small, hemispherical inden-
tation on the upper part of the wall mount should be facing
forward (i.e. not concealed).
• Before you fully tighten the wall mount screws, you can align
the mount using a spirit level, and then tighten the screws once
you have done this.

Teaching-in (teaching-out) components (KON)
In order to enable communication between radio components,
the devices have to be taught-in to one another. For example, if
you wish to use the wall thermostat with radio actuators or radio
sensors, these have to be taught-in to the wall thermostat one
after the other.
Up to four actuators and four sensors can be taught-in to a wall
thermostat. To do this, proceed as follows:
• Press and hold down the OK button on the wall thermostat for
more than five seconds.
• "KON" will appear on the display briefly. This is followed by a
20-second countdown that indicates the remaining teach-in
time.
• During this time, the HomeMatic device to be taught-in also
needs to be put into teach-in mode. For more information on
this, refer to the operating manual for the relevant device.
If a component has been successfully taught-in, "OK" will appear
on the display. If a device has not been taught-in, "NOK" (not OK)
will appear.
