Inserting (replacing) batteries
The HomeMatic wall thermostat is operated with 2 LR6
(Mignon/AA) batteries. To insert or replace the batteries,
proceed as follows:
• Place the wall thermostat on a soft
surface with the display face down.
(Placing it on a soft surface will stop
the masking frame and display cover
being scratched.)
• Push the battery compartment cover
down and remove it.
• Insert two new LR6 (mignon/AA)
batteries in the battery compartment,
ensuring the polarity is correct (see
figure).
• Once you have inserted the batteries,
you need to set the date and time. For
information on how to do this, please
refer to Section 6.2.
The service life of new alkaline batteries is approximately two
years. The device should not be operated with accumulators.
