To teach-in or teach-out components using the configuration
menu, proceed as follows:
• Press and hold down the "Menu" button for approximately four
seconds.
• Use the handwheel to call up the "KON" function.
• Press the OK button.
• Following this, use the handwheel to choose whether you
would like to teach-in or teach-out the devices.
• To teach-in the devices, choose "ADD". To teach-out the
devices, choose "DEL".
Teaching-in (ADD)
• The device enters teach-in mode for approximately 20
seconds.
• If a HomeMatic component has been successfully taught-in
during this time, "OK" will appear on the display.
• If a device has not been taught-in, "NOK" (not OK) will appear.
Teaching-out (DEL)
• Use the handwheel to select the component to be taught-out.
The display only indicates valve actuators using their device
number. In the case of door/window contacts and door/
window/twist handles, the display shows both the device
number and the window symbol.
• Confirm the teaching-out process using the OK button.
• Once teaching-out has been successfully completed, "OK" will
appear on the display for around four seconds.
• If no device is available for teaching-out, the display will show
"NOD" (no device).
It is only possible to teach-in and teach-out components
to and from the wall thermostat if the wall thermostat has
not been taught-in to a central control unit.
