Function
The radio wall thermostat (HM-CC-TC) is an individual room
regulator and controls up to 4 radiators by means of taught-in
radio actuators (HM-CC-VD).
It measures the room temperature and compares the measured
temperature with the setpoint temperature specified either by
the time program or manually. Based on the difference between
the temperatures, the control algorithm calculates how the radio
actuator(s) (HM-CC-VD) need(s) to open the valve in order to
achieve the desired temperature.
When one or more door/window contacts and window/twist
handle contacts are taught-in to the wall thermostat, the window
position (open/closed) can be evaluated and incorporated into
the control algorithm. As part of this, the temperature is reduced
to the set value during ventilation in order to save heating energy.
The wall thermostat transmits commands to the actuator
mounted on the radiator at cyclical intervals of between 120
and 184 seconds. The actuator confirms the transmitted radio
command and controls the heat transfer feed accordingly.
The HomeMatic central control unit allows you to make changes
to the default temperature setting or the time program in the wall
thermostat easily using a graphical interface. The wall thermostat
continues to regulate the temperature independently in the room
concerned.
