Each person, who is responsible for the start-up and operation of this device,
must have read and understood the instruction manual and specifically the
safety instructions.
2.1
General instructions
In order to ensure safe operation, the device must only be operated according
to the instructions in the instruction manual. When operating the device, the
required laws and safety regulations must also be followed in connection with
each respective application.
In this context, the required laws and safety regulations are also valid when
using accessories.
2.2
Intended use
The devices are used to indicate and monitor process factors. If the devices are
used in an ulterior way, this is a violation of the intended use. The devices must
not be used as the only means to prevent dangerous situations on machines
and installations. Machines and installations must be designed in such a way,
that flawed conditions can not lead to a situation that is dangerous for opera-
tors (e.g., with the help of independent limit switches, mechanical locks, etc.).
2.3
Qualified personnel
The devices must only be operated by qualified personnel and only according
to the respective technical specifications. Qualified personnel are persons who
are familiar with the assembly, installation, start-up, and operation of the de-
vices and who have the respective occupational qualification.
2.4
Residual risks
The devices are state-of-the-art and are operationally reliable. Residual risks
may stem from the devices when they are used and operated in a way that is
unintended and by untrained personnel.
2.5
CE-conformity
The devices meet EN 61326 and may only be used in industrial applications.
