Lithium-ion rechargeable battery

The lithium-ion battery is permanently installed in the model CPH6000 pressure calibrator. The battery life is up to 20 hours
for continuous operation (without backlighting). The rechargeable battery can be charged only using the power supply unit
included in the scope of delivery.
DANGER!
Injuries, material and environmental damage due to an improper handling of the lithium-ion
rechargeable battery!
Improper handling of the lithium-ion rechargeable battery can immediately lead to dangerous situations and
serious injuries, since the built-in lithium-ion rechargeable battery can explode, heat up or ignite.
Only use the supplied power supply unit!
The lithium-ion rechargeable batteries of the pressure calibrator connect directly to a socket or to a car's
cigarette lighter.
Never continue to charge the lithium-ion battery if they do not fully recharge within the specified time.
Do not disassemble or modify the lithium-ion rechargeable battery. It contains safety and protection devices
which, if damaged, may cause it to generate heat, explode or ignite.
WARNING!
Injuries or damage to property through defective rechargeable battery
A defective rechargeable battery can lead to hazardous situations and injuries.
Should the lithium-ion battery ever leak and the fluid come into contact with the eyes, do not under any
circumstances rub the eyes. Rinse the eyes thoroughly with water and seek immediate medical attention. If
the eyes are left untreated, damage to the eyes could occur.
Should the rechargeable battery in the pressure calibrator stop working, contact WIKA. The instrument must not
be opened under any circumstances. For further information, also see chapter 9.2 "Return".
For contact details, see chapter 1 "General information" or the back page of the operating instructions.
Charging the lithium-ion rechargeable battery
If the lithium-ion rechargeable batteries become hot, the built-in safety and protective system is activated and overcharging
prevented. However, the heating of the lithium-ion battery can also destroy the safety and protective system and cause it to
heat up further, fail or ignite.
When the power supply unit is connected to the CPH6000, the lithium-ion battery will be charged, even if the
CPH6000 is switched off.
The typical charging time of the rechargeable battery is < 6 hours.
The temperature range over which the lithium-ion battery can be charged is 0 ... 45 °C [32 ... 113 °F]. Temperatures outside
of the specifications lead, during the charging process, to heating or destruction to the rechargeable battery. Furthermore,
the performance can be affected and the service life reduced.
Extreme temperatures have an adverse effect on battery charging. Therefore, cooling down or warming up may be
necessary first.
