GENERAL DEFINITION OF TERMS
Trigger threshold (Ft):
The trigger threshold triggers the measurement.
Peak force (Fp):
Maximum force to be found during the measurement.
Effective force (Fe):
Average force during time T.
Pulse duration (T):
Time between t1 and t2 , where t1 marks increasing and t2 decreasing the force trigger
threshold.
Clamping force (FE):
Mean value of effective forces, measured sequentially at the same measuring point.
Remaining force (Fk):
Remaining force is the force 1 s after decreasing or 5 s after increasing the trigger
threshold (whichever occurs first).

2000/4/EG
2000/4/EG is a European directive relating to interior fittings of motor vehicles. Requirements
to be applied with the herein described force measuring system concern the auto-reversing
operation.
6.2.1 Requirements
Opening width
The applicable opening range is 200 to 4 mm.
Peak force
The peak force must be below 100 N.
Sensor deflection rate
The sensor deflection rate must be below 10N/mm
