induction, please never heat it unattended or while empty. Please also observe the
instructions provided by the hob manufacturer.
A buzzing sound may be heard during use. This noise is due to technical reasons and is not
a sign of a defect in the hob or cookware.

Energy saving tips

• When cooking on the gentle or fast setting, regulate the hob so that the cooking
indicator does not enter the red zone and the cooking valve does not start to release
steam.
• When cooking on the steam setting, adjust the hob so that only a slight plume of steam
comes out of the lid handle or pressure regulator.
• Use a hob of the appropriate size (see specifications above).
• Select cookware size according to the amount being cooked
• Use the stored heat of the base. Switch off the hob before the end of the cooking time
to use the cooling time

Preparation

Add the ingredients to the pressure cooker according to the recipe.
34
Observe the specified filling quantities (chapter 5).
Then put the lid on and close the pot.
If the locking indicator (fig. A-8) in the lid handle is green, the pot is ready
(chapter 4).

Selecting a cooking setting

See Figure M
Choose the desired cooking setting on the pressure regulator (Fig. A-3). To do this, set the
marking on the setting ring to the number of the corresponding cooking setting.
Cooking setting 1, approx. 110 °C (gentle cooking)
(45 kPa operating pressure)
For very delicate dishes such as fish
Cooking setting 2, approx. 113 °C (quick cooking)
(60 kPa operating pressure)
for delicate dishes such as vegetables
Cooking setting 3, approx. 116 °C (express cooking)
(75 kPa operating pressure)
for all other dishes such as meat dishes and stews
Steam setting
In addition to the gentle, quick and express cooking settings, you can also select a cooking
setting for gentle steaming in use (Fig. A-1) or cooking without pressure.

Parboiling and venting

Heat the pressure cooker on the highest energy level.
Steam will escape from under the lid handle (Fig. A-6) and with it the oxygen in the air that
is harmful to vitamins.
This process may take a few minutes. As soon as the Euromatic closes and no more steam
escapes, the pressure build-up will begin. A little later, the cooking indicator (Fig. A-4) will
start to show the rise in pressure.

Cooking indicator with traffic light function

See Figure N
The cooking indicator always shows a sequence of three coloured rings – regardless of the
cooking setting selected. The colours signal the temperature curve in the pot according to
the traffic light principle and provide assistance in regulating the energy supply.
