9.2 Troubleshooting Quick Guide
Problem
The device does not turn
on after having brought the
switch into position "I"
The device is switched on
but not working. The display
does not show any error.
The device is switched on but
not working.
one of the following symbols
appears on the screen:
When operating,
Piezosurgery

handpiece emits a slight
whistle.

Possible Cause
The power supply connector
is not properly plugged into
the socket on the back of the
device.
The power supply cord is
faulty.
The fuses are out-of-order.
The foot pedal plug is not
correctly inserted into the
device socket.
The foot pedal is not working
properly.
See Chapter 9.1 on page
34 for the possible cause,
according to the symbol that
has been displayed.
The insert is not properly
tightened into the

handpiece.
Medical
The irrigation circuit has not
been completely filled.
Solution
Check that the power supply
cord is firmly connected.
Check that the power supply
socket is functioning.
Replace the power supply
cord.
Replace the fuses
(refer to Chapter 9.3 on page
38 )
Correctly insert the foot
pedal plug into the socket on
the back of the device.
During the surgery:
disconnect the foot pedal
from the console and use
the button replacing the
pedal (see Chapter 5.3 on
page 18). At the end of
the intervention contact an
Authorized Mectron Service
Center

Unscrew the insert and screw
it back correctly by using the
Mectron torque wrench.
