dealer, in the language of the country where the equipment is used. This manual must be read and understood by the user before using
the PPE. The test methods described in the standards do not represent actual usage conditions. It is therefore important to study each
work situation and that each user is fully trained in different techniques in order to know the limits of the various devices. The use of this
PPE is restricted to qualified persons properly trained or working under the direct responsibility of a competent superior. The user's safety
depends on the continuing efficacy of the PPE, its strength and the proper understanding of the instructions in this manual. The product
shall be used only by a person trained and competent in its safe use. There must be ensured that medical conditions of the user do not
affect his safety during normal use of the equipment or in case of emergency. In case of doubt, consult the doctor. The user is personally
responsible for any use of this PPE which does not comply with the requirements of this manual and in the case of non-compliance with
the security measures applicable to PPE specified by this manual. The use of this PPE is restricted to persons in good health, certain
medical conditions may affect the safety of the user, in case of doubt contact a physician. Adhere strictly to the instructions for use,
verification, maintenance and storage. This product is inseparable from a comprehensive fall protection system (EN363), whose function
is to minimize the risk of body injury from falls. In a complete fall arrest system (EN363), which limits the load peak to 6 kN when a fall
occurs (EN353-1, EN353-2, EN355, EN360), the anchor point must be connected to the fall arrest anchor point of the harness (EN361)
via a link system.
The fall arrest harness (EN361) is the only body grip to be allowed for use with a fall arrest system. It must be
connected to the fall arrest system by connectors (EN362). Before any use, refer to the recommendations for use for each component
of the system. In these cases, follow the instructions described in their own manual. The documentation supplied with each product
must be kept indefinitely by the user. Self retracting device : The fastening point of the fall arrest device is connected to the anchoring
point (EN795) of the structure by a connector (EN362). Choose an anchor device the design of which allows complete freedom of
movement of the connector. Choose oval designed connectors for efficient mobility between different elements of the fall arrest system.
AN100, AN130 :The attachment point of the fall arrest device is an hooking eye located at the top of the casing. AN102, AN106 : The
attachment point of the fall arrest device is a swivel located at the top of the casing. AN105 : The attachment point of the fall arrest device
is an energy absorber located at the top of the casing. The end of the strap or cable is connected to a rear fastening point of a harness
(EN361) by a connector (EN362). (The sternal attachment point of a harness will be used only in exceptional circumstances). To be
implemented with the fall arrest device, the connectors (EN362) must have a swivel-type pivoting function. Every combination of different
equipment can cause unexpected dangerous situation that have a negative influence on safety of the user. The fall arrest device is
equipped either with a retractable strap or cable. The fall arrest devices can be equipped with elements of different endings (EN354
swivel) or different connectors (EN362).

sheath), that of the strap and its unfolding absorbs the shock generated by the fall arrest. For fall arrest devices equipped with the fall
indicator function: a red color appears on the swivel during a fall, or a green color is not more visible.
ADJUSTMENTS: (B) It is recommended to assign a fall arrest device for each user. This PPE can only be used by one person at a
time. The fall arrest system will be attached to an anchorage point above the user (minimum resistance: 12 kN (EN795)). ► During all
operations, be careful not to twist the cable or the strap: the user's movements must not cause twisting of the cable or the strap, do not
let a twisted cable or strap wrap inside the casing of the fall arrest device. ► During use, ensure that the cable or the strap of the device
is always under tension. A pendulum movement can occur during a fall. To limit this pendulum movement, the work area or the lateral
