Low-fat frying
When frying with fat, always put the fat into a
cold teppanyaki plate and distribute it over the
surface using kitchen paper before heating it on
a high heat. A small amount of fat is sufficient.
Dab the food carefully before frying it in order to
prevent splashes of hot fat. When streaks appear
in the fat or it starts to bubble slightly, place the
food onto the plate. Turn down the heat. Do not
overheat the fat. The cooking time depends on the
size and type of the food. Be careful with hot fat.
Never leave a hot pan unattended. When dry-fry-
ing, the absence of cooking fat makes it difficult to
tell how hot the teppanyaki plate is. Therefore, for
safety reasons, only use the medium heat setting
to avoid overheating.
Information for induction hobs
Please note: induction is a very rapid heat source.
Never heat an empty teppanyaki plate, as it can be
damaged by overheating. Cooking at high temper-
atures may produce a humming noise. This noise
occurs for technical reasons and does not indicate
that your hob or teppanyaki plate is faulty.

Information for glass ceramic hobs
Keep the cooking area clean, because dirt residues
between the bottom of the teppanyaki plate and
the hob could scratch the glass ceramic surface.
Information for grills
The teppanyaki plate can be used on all types
of grills. Please note, however, that the stainless
steel handles may discolour slightly if overheated.
However, any slight discolouration of the product
does not affect the product's properties.
