Options which can be integrated into the electronics box

WARNING
Safe operation is dependent upon proper installation and start-up by qualified personnel under
observance of all warnings contained in these operating instructions.
Boards must always be replaced by properly qualified personnel.
Boards must not be inserted or removed when the power supply is connected.
Failure to observe this warning can result in death, severe physical injury or substantial
property damage.
CAUTION
The boards contain ElectroStatic Discharge Sensitive Devices (ESDS). Before touching a
board, make sure that your own body has been electrostatically discharged. The easiest way to
do this is to touch a conductive, earthed object (e.g. bare metal part of cubicle) immediately
beforehand.
Local bus adapter (LBA) for fitting optional supplementary boards
The LBA option is a precondition for fitting optional supplementary boards. If there is no LBA in the unit yet, it
must be built into the electronics box before an option board can be slotted in.
Mounting the local bus adapter LBA in the electronics box
♦ Use the handles to pull out the PSR board
after undoing the two fixing screws.
♦ Push the LBA into the electronics box (for
position, see illustration on the right) until it
clicks in.
♦ Re-insert the PSR board into the left-hand slot
and tighten the fixing screws in the handles.
In order to use the CBC and CBP boards, an ADB (adapter board) is needed in addition to the LBA. Due to
their smaller mechanical dimensions, these boards must be plugged onto an ADB so that they can be slotted
into the electronics box.
