Options
If only one technology board is used, it must always be plugged into slot 2 of the electronics box.
It is only permissible for each optional supplementary board to be mounted once in the electronics box.
If a technology board is used in conjunction with a communications board, the communications board must
be plugged into slot G (small-format boards, CBP and CBC) or slot 3 (large-format boards, CB1 and CB2).
The data of large-format boards always appear under slot E or slot G. This means that, for example, the
software version of a technology board is displayed by means of r060.003.
In order to use small-format boards (CBP and CBC) an ADB (adapter board) is necessary in addition to the
LBA. Due to their small mechanical dimensions, these boards must be plugged onto an ADB so that they
can be slotted into the electronics box.
A maximum of 2 supplementary boards can be used.
One or two of the option boards listed in Table 9.3 can be plugged into the electronics box with the help of
the LBA option (local bus adapter).
The slots are marked as shown in the following illustration.
