Intended purpose

The Juzo SoftCompress bandaging aids are products
for compression therapy. Compression therapy reduces
oedema and accelerates venous return. The bandaging
aids, which can be worn under short-stretch bandages or
medical adjustable compression systems (Juzo ACS Light
and Juzo Compression Wrap), are skin-friendly and provi-
de additional compression, cushioning and ideal pressure
distribution.

Notes for use

Your specialist dealer or your therapist will be happy to
show you how to apply the products correctly. The stan-
dard products in the Juzo SoftCompress bandaging aid
range have some green seams which can be used to shor-
ten the length of the bandaging aid. Please note that the
products must be washed before you shorten them due to
the natural shrink properties of the cotton.
Please note
Only wear compression garments if they have been pre-
scribed by a doctor. The products should only be dispen-
sed by properly trained staff at a medical retailer.
Progress in the success of the treatment or a change in
condition will require re-measurement and a new product
may be needed.
Please contact your specialist retailer in the event of da-
mage. Do not repair the product yourself – this may affect
its quality and medical effectiveness.
Washing and care instructions
Wash the Juzo SoftCompress after each use. Please note
the care symbols on the textile label sewn into the pro-
duct. All touch fasteners must be closed prior to washing.
The products can be washed in the machine at 60 °C using
a laundry detergent for delicate fabrics. Tip: a laundry net
additionally protects the product. Please do not use fabric
softener. Never use bleach. Stretch the wet bandage befo-
re drying it. You can reduce drying time by placing the Juzo
SoftCompress on a thick towel, rolling the towel up tightly
and firmly pressing out excess moisture. Do not leave the
product in the towel and do not dry it on a radiator or in
the sun. Juzo SoftCompress can be tumble-dried but must
not be ironed.
Treatment and disinfection
(for hospital use)
This product has been successfully tested in accordance
with DIN ISO TS 15883-5, SOD 19-002, EN ISO 17664, SOD
19-01 and the Robert Koch Institute "Hygiene Require-
ments for the Reprocessing of Medical Devices" guideline.
The Juzo SoftCompress can be quantifiably treated, cle-
aned and disinfected in compliance with the provisions of
the guideline compiled by the German Society for Hospital
Hygiene (DGKH) and the German Society for Sterile Supply
(DGSV).

Foam: 100% polyurethane
Storage information and shelf life
Store in a dry place and protect from sunlight. Standard
products have a maximum shelf life of 36 months. The pro-
ducts then have a usage period of 6 months. The usage pe-
riod depends on correct handling (e.g. care, donning and
doffing) and normal use of the products. The usage period
of the medical product is printed on the adhesive label on
the packaging with an hourglass symbol. Custom-made
items are for immediate use and, for this reason, do not
have a usage period date.
