8 - Transport, handling and storage before installation

8.1 - Safety

8.1.1 - Danger for the operator's safety during the handling operations in the loading and unloading
stages.
Handling operations during the loading and unloading stages must be carried out by qualified personnel equipped
with suitable means, in full compliance with the manufacturer's instructions.
In particular, the operators in charge of handling the unit must:
- make sure that the lifting equipment they use supports the weight of the unit with an appropriate safety
margin;
- make sure that there is nobody in the operating range of the means used for unloading, and in any case where
these activities take place;
- make sure that the unit is attached, with suitable hooks, only in the points specified by the manufacturer.

Failure to comply with one or more of the points above and, in general, conduct that may pose
risks to people during unit handling exempts the manufacturer from any possible consequence
and responsibility.
Failure to follow the instructions above may cause injury to people, such as:
- crushing;
- shearing of limbs.
It can also damage the unit precluding proper operation.

8.2 - Transport

In the event of transport by sea or by land with particular road conditions (uneven road surface), remove all parts
of the unit that could be damaged causing failures and malfunctions.

The disassembly and reassembly of certain parts of the unit is a special operation that should be
performed only after the approval of the manufacturer and only upon its precise instructions;
under any circumstances other than those indicated, the manufacturer shall be relieved from any
possible consequence and responsibility.

8.3 - Storage

If the appliance must be stored prior to installation (one or several months) it is advisable to take the following
precautions:
- leave the machine in its original packaging until it is installed or restore the packaging in order to ensure an
equivalent level of protection to the original, against weathering, dust and insects or small rodents,
- store indoors at a temperature between +15°C and +25ºC and a humidity percentage between 50% and 70%,
- make sure that the unit is not exposed to corrosive liquids or vapours,
- if the unit is stored outdoors, it is advisable to put the fan/s into operation at least once a week, for 4-6 hours,
to prevent the electric motor from getting damaged,
- the units must be stacked during storage.

Failure to follow the instructions above and in any case inappropriate storage that may deteriorate
the performance, safety or aesthetic aspect of the unit, will relieve the manufacturer from any
possible consequence and responsibility.
