6 - Intended use of the unit

In the intended use and/or reasonably foreseeable use, with the exception of the installation, maintenance and disposal
operations, the dangers and prohibitions highlighted below are possible.
The units use ammonia NH3 as coolant. The coolant must be used in compliance with the safety sheet that the
manufacturer and the coolant supplier must provide. Chapter 14 provides some basic information on the proper use of
ammonia as a coolant.

6.1 - Envisaged uses and envisaged conditions of use

The units are designed to be installed in a refrigeration system and are used for cooling and ambient air circulation
in large refrigeration plants. The units can be installed inside of buildings, always and in any case in compliance with
the instructions contained in this use and maintenance manual.
The units are only intended for use with the coolants specified by the manufacturer.

The user must ensure adequate maintenance in compliance with the specifications of this
manual.

6.2 - Operating conditions

The operation of the unit is only that described in this manual.
The unit is intended for automatic operation within a plant, controlled by probes and other external commands.
Human presence for its operation is never required, except when carrying out maintenance and surveillance.
Using the unit in a non-automatic manner or outside the plant is considered improper use and is therefore forbidden,
if not otherwise specifically agreed with the supplier.
Given that the only permitted use is in automatic mode in a plant, the unit is considered fully delivered to the user
together with the delivery of the entire plant: before this delivery, unit operation and its complete safety cannot be
guaranteed by the manufacturer and therefore it is forbidden to use it.

6.3 - Forbidden uses

Using the unit in prohibited ways may expose the user and people in general to serious danger. The appliance must
not be used if:
- safety devices are not available,
- the unit is not installed properly or does not work properly; if it is damaged or has visible defects,
- or is modified without permission;
- if maintenance and/or repairs are not carried out properly, in contravention to professional standards and
customary and established practices and also to the instructions in this manual;

6.4 - Improper uses

Using the unit in improper ways may expose the user and people in general to serious danger.
Improper uses are those that involve:
- uses other than those specified in paragraph 6.1,
- modifications of the unit operation,
- incorrect positioning of the appliance,
- changing the coolant,
- repairs carried out by incompetent personnel, in contravention to the professional standards and customary and
established practices, and also to the instructions in this manual
- handling, transport and storage of the unit in an inappropriate manner, differing from the requirements stated in
this use and maintenance manual.
