The sensor housings are connected to signal ground and to supply ground by capacitors.
Signal ground and supply ground are dc-insulated for the 24 V option.
Mounting the sensor in a metal holder establishes a sufficient ground connection.
An additional groundconnection is required for small, remotely located targets. Connect the target to the
sensor housing for this.

Operation

Starting Up

Connect the display/output devices through the signal output socket, see Chap. 4.5, before connecting
the device to the power supply and switching on the power supply.
Allow the measuring system to warm up for about one minute before the first measurement or calibrati-
on.
