WARNUNG: Eine Funktionsüberprüfung
der Sicher heitsschaltung ist vor jeder An-
wendung am Patienten durchzuführen.
Mit den ± Tasten den Flow-Sollwert auf
10 l/min einstellen.
VERESS-Nadel öffnen und START/STOP-Taste
Insuf ation drücken (Schalter leuchtet).
VERESS-Nadel jetzt schnell schließen. Sobald der
an der Istwert-Anzeige abzulesende Patienten-
druck überschritten wird (um 5 mmHg für mehr
als 3 s), ertönt ein langsam pulsierender Warnton.
Nach weiteren 1–2 s spricht das Entlüftungsventil
hörbar an und baut den Überdruck aktiv ab. Die
Istwert-Anzeige des Flows muss auf Null zurück-
gehen.
Der Istwert des Patientendrucks muss dem Soll-
wert entsprechen (± 10%).

HINWEIS: Die Aktivierung des Entlüftungs-
ventils und das Entweichen des Gases sind
hörbar.
Nach Beendigung der Funktionsprüfung den
Insuf ationsvorgang durch Drücken der START/
STOP-Taste unterbrechen.

WARNUNG: Sollten Abweichungen von
diesen Ergebnissen auftreten, so muss das
Gerät vor weiterer Verwendung von einem
Techniker überprüft werden.

WARNING: Check the unit's safety circuits
for proper operation before every use of the
unit on patients.
Set the ow rate set value to 10 l/min using the
± buttons .
Open the VERESS needle and press the insuf a-
tion START/STOP button . The lamp in the but-
ton should light.
Now promptly close the VERESS needle. As soon
as the patient pressure value shown on the actual-
value display is exceeded by more than 5 mmHg
for longer than 3 seconds, an acoustic warning
signal is given (slowly pulsating sound). After a further
1-2 seconds the overpressure is actively and audibly
released by a blow-off valve. The ow rate shown
on the actual-value display must drop to zero.
The patient pressure shown on the actual-value
display must agree with the set value to within
± 10%.

NOTE: Both the activation of the blow-off
valve and the escape of gas are audible.
Once this operational check has been conclud-
ed, press the START/STOP button to terminate
insuf ation.

WARNING: Have the unit checked by a
quali ed tech nician before undertaking any
further use should it fail to perform as de-
scribed above.

CUIDADO: Antes de cada aplicación en un
paciente es preciso comprobar el funciona-
miento del circuito de seguridad.
Ajuste el valor nominal de ujo a 10 l/min con las
teclas ± .
Abra la aguja VERESS y apriete la tecla de CO-
NEXION/DESCONEXION de insu ación

indicador del valor real sobrepasa en más de 5
mmHg el valor nominal ajustado por un periodo de

la válvula de descarga y elimina de forma activa la
sobrepresión. El indicador del valor real de ujo
de retroceder a cero.
El valor real de la presión del paciente debe coincidir
con el valor nominal (± 10%).

y la salida del gas son audibles.
Después de haber concluido la comprobación del
funcionamiento, interrumpa el proceso de insu a ción
presionando la tecla de CONEXION/DESCONEXION
.

CUIDADO: Si se comprueban diferencias
con respecto a estos resultados, será nece-
sario que el equipo sea revisado por un técni-
co antes de volver a emplearlo.
