CO Insuf atoren und deren Zubehör dienen zum

Anlegen und Aufrechterhalten der Kavität bei
diagnostischen endoskopischen Eingriffen sowie
zur Verdrängung von Umgebungsluft bei offenen,
endoskopisch assistierten oder endoskopischen
Eingriffen.

Indikation

Der Insuf ator dient zur Schaffung einer Kavität
bei folgenden diagnostischen und therapeutischen
Eingriffen:
• Laparoskopie
• Thorakoskopie
• Endoskopie des oberen- und unteren
®
Gastrointestinaltraktes (z. B. TEO , Koloskopie)
• Endoskopische Gefäßentnahme
Des Weiteren ist der Insuf ator für die Verdrängung
der Umgebungsluft bei der offenen und endosko-
pisch assistierten Herzchirurgie konzipiert.
Es darf ausschließlich medizinisches CO Gas

verwendet werden.
Die Verwendung des Gerätes anders als oben be-
stimmt ist aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht zulässig.
Der Elektronische ENDOFLATOR ® darf nur mit
Schlauchsets und Zubehörteilen betrieben werden,
die von KARL STORZ für das Gerät als geeignet
bezeichnet werden.

VORSICHT: Bei Verwendung anderer als
der vorgeschriebenen Schlauchsysteme
kann keine Garantie für die sichere Funktion
des Gerätes übernommen werden.
Eigenmächtige Umbauten oder Veränderungen des
Gerätes sind aus Sicherheitsgründen untersagt.
Safety instructions

Intended use

CO insuf ators and their accessories are used to

create and maintain the cavity during diagnostic
endoscopic interventions as well as to expulse am-
bient air during open, endoscopically assisted or
endoscopic interventions.

Indication

The insuf ator is used to create a cavity during the
following diagnostic and therapeutic interventions:
• laparoscopy
• thoracoscopy
• endoscopy of the upper and lower
gastrointestinal tract (e.g., TEO ® , coloscopy)
• endoscopic vessel harvesting
In addition, the insuf ator was also designed to
expulse ambient air in open and endoscopically
assisted cardiac surgery.
Only sterile CO gas may be used.

Use of the device in elds other than those indi-
cated above is not allowed for safety reasons.
The electronic ENDOFLATOR ® may only be oper-
ated with tubing sets and accessories which have
been designated as suitable for the device by
KARL STORZ.

Unauthorized conversions or modi cations to the
unit are not allowed for safety reasons.

Uso previsto

Los insu adores CO y sus accesorios sirven para

generar y mantener la cavidad durante intervencio-
nes quirúrgicas endoscópicas con nes diagnósti-
cos, así como para suprimir el aire ambiente durante
una cirugía abierta, endoscópica o asistida endos-
cópicamente.
Indicación
El insu ador sirve para generar una cavidad en las
siguientes intervenciones quirúrgicas con nes diag-
nósticos y terapéuticos:
• Laparoscopia
• Toracoscopia
• Endoscopia del tracto gastrointestinal superior e
inferior (p. ej., TEO ® , colonoscopia)
• Extracción endoscópica de vasos
Asimismo, el insu ador ha sido diseñado para supri-
mir el aire ambiente en el caso de cirugía cardíaca
abierta y asistida endoscópicamente.
Este equipo debe utilizarse exclusivamente con gas
CO para uso médico.

Por motivos de seguridad, no está permitida la
utilización del aparato de forma diferente a la arriba
indicada.
El ENDOFLATOR ® electrónico sólo puede ser utili-
zado con los sets de tubos exibles y las piezas ac-
cesorias que hayan sido identi cadas como idóneas
para este equipo por KARL STORZ.

ADVERTENCIA: En el caso de utilizarse otras
piezas accesorias diferentes a las prescritas,
no se asume ninguna garantía en cuanto a la
seguridad de funcionamiento del equipo.
Por razones de seguridad, está prohibido efectuar
