NOTE
While the keep warm function is running, operation will not be cancelled,
when removing the kettle from the power base. Always remove the kettle for
removing the filter system and pouring. In fact, you should remove the filter system
always before pouring. The heating elements in the kettle cannot be operated wit-
hout the power base. With the kettle placed on the power base, the water will
be reheated and kept at the set temperature (max. 90°C, see: 'Properties of Your
New Tea Maker / Keep Warm Function').
NOTE
When you failed to remove the kettle in time (within 5 minutes after steeping), the
appliance switches off completely, independently from the settings of the keep
warm function. If you wish to keep your tea warm nevertheless, simply start the
appliance again via the WATER button. If the message "E1" is shown in this case,
increase the temperature by one step (5°C / 9°F) and try again (see: 'Solving
Problems / Error Messages').
IMPORTANT - If you wish to keep warm your tea after pouring, always ensure that
there is a sufficient amount of liquid left within the kettle (at least 250ml; approx.
1cm or half an inch above the tip of the temperature sensor). Otherwise, the tem-
perature control cannot operate correctly and overheating may occur. Remove the
kettle from the power base for filling your cups and glasses. If you wish to use the
keep warm function of the appliance, ensure that at least 250ml of liquid are left
in the kettle. If so, place the kettle onto the power base again. The keep warm
function keeps your tea at the appropriate temperature (max. 90°C/194°F, see:
'Keep Warm Function').
19. If you wish to switch off the appliance after operation, simply press the illumina-
ted start/stop button (in this case: the TEA button). The appliance returns to stand-
by mode immediately. When leaving the appliance running to the maximum
keep warm time, the appliance switches back to standby mode automatically,
and shuts off completely (see: 'Properties of Your New Tea Maker / Automatic
Shut-Off').
NOTE
For saving energy, you should not leave the keep warm function running uselessly.
Cancel the running program via the TEA button, if you do not need this function
any longer.
