Via the glass body of the kettle you can easily monitor the steeping process of
your tea and check for the colour at a glance without opening the lid.
Operation may be started automatically at a pre-set starting time via the integra-
ted timer (see: 'The Auto Start Function').

SPECIAL SETTINGS

You can enter some own preferred pre-settings that will be kept in memory even after
switching off and unplugging the appliance:: the language used on the display, the
maximum keep warm time, the volume of the acoustic signals (high, low, or off), the
used temperature unit (°C or °F), and the time format (12 hours or 24 hours; see:
'Preferences').
NOTE
We recommend to set the language of the display according to your requirements
for avoiding errors and misunderstanding (see: 'Preferences / Selecting the Lan-
guage').
If required, all individual settings can be deleted from memory, by resetting the appli-
ance to the factory settings (see: 'Special Functions / Restoring the Factory Settings').
However, the language of the display will be kept.
Additionally, for storage the cantilever can be driven to a park position.
DISPLAY AND ACOUSTIC SIGNALS—THE COURSE OF A PROGRAM
When connecting the appliance to the power supply, a signal sounds and the
appliance performs an initialisation. Thereafter, the display illuminates, showing
the data of the default tea program ("GREEN").
IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT: Possibly, the cantilever moves during initialisation.
On the upper line of the display the following small icons can be shown: clock
icon (left half of the display; indicating the internal clock of the appliance; only
seen, when the time values of the timer are displayed), "AM" or "PM" (morning
or afternoon, when the 12 hours format is selected), alarm clock icon (right half
of the display; shown above the starting time (only seen, when the auto start
function is activated; see: 'The Auto Start Function').
On the second line of the display the currently selected water temperature (°C,
"BREW TEMP") and the steeping time (minutes:seconds; "BREW TIME") are
given. While a program is running, the steeping time is displayed as a count-
down. With the keep warm function running, the already elapsed keep warm
