appliance and the contents will be hot even for some time after ope-
ration. Always leave the appliance cool down, before filling again,

• Even with the lid closed properly, hot steam and splashes of hot water
could escape during operation. Do not hold your face or other parts
of your body over or directly near the appliance during operation
and while the appliance is still hot to avoid scalds due to steam and
splashes.
• Even the exterior of the kettle and filter system could get very hot duri-
ng operation and thereafter. Only touch the appliance and its parts
and accessories at the operating elements and the handles, when
they could be hot. Beware of hot steam and condensate, when ope-
ning the lid, removing the filter system and/or pouring. Before pou-
ring, wait until the water stops boiling and then pour carefully to avoid
spilling.
• Keep the lid closed during operation and when the water is boiling
or still very hot, to avoid scalding and damage caused by hot water
and hot steam. Before pouring, ensure that the lid and lid ring are
installed properly and stably and will not fall down.

MOVING PARTS

The cantilever of the appliance is agitated via the programs of the appli-
ance and moves up and down automatically. Additionally, when plug-
ging in the appliance an initialisation is performed, which could move
the cantilever. Always avoid moving the cantilever manually, because this
