Troubleshooting

PROBLEM
The electric pump does not start.
The main switch is on.
The electric pump starts up but the
thermal protector is immediately
triggered or the fuses blow.
The electric pump starts up but, after a
short period of time, the thermal
protector is triggered or the fuses blow.
The electric pump starts up but, after a
varying period of time, the thermal
protector is triggered.
The electric pump starts up but does not
deliver the required flow.
The electric pump starts up but it does
not stop.
The system's general protection cuts in.

PROBABLE CAUSE
No power supply.
Triggering of thermal relay or motor
protector found in the electric control
panel.
Pump or auxiliary circuits protection
fuses blown.
Incorrect connection to capacitors
(single-phase version)
Triggering of start/stop device ( float).
Triggering of protection device against
dry running (float).
Triggering of motor thermal sensor (if
present).
Triggering of water detection sensor in
the oil chamber (if present).
Electric motor failure.
Power supply cable is damaged.
Electric motor short circuit.
Thermal protector or fuses not suited to
the motor current.
Motor overload.
Wrong rotation direction.
A phase in the power supply is missing.
Power supply voltage not within the
motor's working limits.
The electric panel is situated in an
excessively heated area or is exposed to
direct sunlight.
There are foreign bodies (solid or fibrous
substances) inside the pump, the
impellers are jammed.
The pump is overloaded because it is
sucking a dense and viscous liquid.
The temperature of the sucked liquid is
too high.
Worn motor bearings
Wrong rotation direction.
Air in the pipes.
Air in the pump.
Piping and/or pump clogged.
Valves locked in closed or partially
closed position.
Failure of start/stop device (float).
Short circuit.
Information for users and maintenance personnel
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Restore the power supply.
Reset the thermal protector.
Replace fuses.
Check the connections in the electric
panel
Check the water level in the tank. If
everything is in order, check the
protection device and its connection
cables.
Wait for the pump motor to cool down.
section 7.2.4.
Contact our Sales and Service
Department.
Check the components and replace as
necessary.
Check the operating conditions of the
electric pump and reset the protection.
Check the direction of rotation and, if
necessary, exchange two phases in the
electrical panel if the pump is a three-
phase model, or check all the
connections if it is a single-phase model.
Check the power supply.
Check the operating conditions of the
electric pump.
Protect the panel from heat sources and
from the sun.
Extract the electric pump and clean it.
Check the actual power requirements
based on the characteristics of the
pumped liquid.
Check the operating conditions of the
electric pump.
Contact our Sales and Service
Department.
Check the direction of rotation and, if
necessary, exchange two phases in the
electrical panel if the pump is a three-
phase model, or check all the
connections if it is a single-phase model.
Bleed the air.
Bleed the air and check the liquid level
( section 3.1.6).
Disassemble and clean.
Disassemble and clean, if necessary
replace the valve.
Check the water level in the tank. If
everything is in order, check the device
and its connection cables.
Check electrical system.
