riding the Real E-motion, you can choose other
types and levels of training and use your bike's
shifters just as you would on the road.
7) Start pedalling and look ahead, like on the road.
Even if you would instinctively tend to look at the
front wheel, you will keep balance better and
pedal "in a straight line" if you concentrate on an
object located 2.5 – 4 metres (10-15 feet) in front
of you.
8) If you start leaning or shift to the side of the
drums, correct your position with very light stee-
ring movements. If you steer to much you will lose
balance or end up over the side of the rollers.
9) Keeping a fast and smooth pedalling style will
help you stay balanced on the rollers, thanks to
the gyroscopic effect of the wheels.
10) At first, pedalling on the rollers will give you a
feeling of instability, and moving the handlebar too
abruptly or pedalling heavily can make you lose
control. The big advantage of the rollers, compa-
red to standard training tools, is that the rollers
teach you to reduce the movement of the upper
part of your body and maintain a steady pedalling
pace.
11) The hardness of the Real E-motion's oscilla-
ting system can be set by simply shifting the cen-
tre distance of the elastic fixing pin in order to put
the same under traction with less (Fig. 18) or more
strain (Fig.19).

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1) Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause
deformation of the technopolymer rollers. Do not
use or keep the rollers in direct sunlight.
2) Always clean the rollers after use. Only use a
damp cloth. Do not use solvents or harsh deter-
gents.
3) If the Real E-motion is not going to be used for
some time, release the drive belt by making it
come out of its seat or put the front roller in the
minimum distance position so as not to leave the
belt always under tension. Such tension can cause
early loss of drive efficiency.
4) The bearings on the roller do not need servi-
cing.
5) Periodically check the tightening of the roller
clamping screws, making sure not to deform the
plastic.
6) The charger should not be plugged in when the
roller is not in use.
7) In case of drive belt wear or breakage, replace
the belt as follows:
• Undo the wheel support fixing screws (Fig. 20
and 21).
• Repeat the same procedure for the front right
plastic cover.
• Undo the 2 front plastic covering fixing screws
and remove the covering (Fig. 22).
• Repeat the same procedure for the front right
plastic cover.
• Unscrew the 4 fixing screws of the rear plastic
cover and remove it (pic 23).
• Unscrew the 4 fixing screws of the right rear
plastic cover (pic 24).
• Lift the front roller.
• Make sure the mechanical arm is completely
open (pic 25) and not closed (pic 26).
• If the arms are closed (pic 26) plug in the roller
until they open up (pic 25)
• Lift the centre roller. Replace the belt (pic 27),
properly re-seat the cylinders (pic 28 and 29) and
replace the covers.
• Transmission belts and other spare parts for the
Real E-motion can be purchased directly from
