• Radio communication uses the frequency of
2.4Ghz.
The Elite Real E-Motion roller also allows the
display of speed and cadence data from cycle
computers that are compatible with the ANT+
protocol.
Simply enter a 66 mm circumference in the cycle
computer settings and sync the Elite Real
E-Motion resistance unit with the cycle computer,
as indicated in the manufacturer's manual.

HEART RATE MONITOR

The Real E-Motion includes an internal heart-rate
receiver that allows heart rate frequency to be
monitored and displayed on screen during training
or racing. The Real E-Motion heart rate receiver is
compatible with all ANT+ type transmitters.
SLOPE
The maximum simulatable slope on the Real
E-Motion is a function of speed and the weight of
the individual rider. In fact, the power required to
pedal up a slope is function of the speed (faster=
more power) and of the weight (the heavier the
rider, the more power is required to climb any
given slope). Each rider has a maximum slope
given his weight [i.e., for a 60kg (130lbs) cyclist at
24Km/h (15mph) the maximum simulatable slope
is about 10%.]
Power range
The power range covered by the roller is very wide
and depends on the speed. The faster you pedal,
the wider the power range. Nevertheless there
may be extreme conditions where the required
power is outside of the range (too high or too low).
In these cases the roller delivers the maximum/
minimum possible, and resumes working cor-
rectly as soon as the conditions return to being
compatible with the power deliverable by the Real
E-Motion. When the required power is outside the
available power range, the roller displays on the
monitor the actual power it is producing and not
the theoretical power.
Accuracy between power on the screen and resi-
stance generated.
The Real E-motion is not an ergometer* and
power is not measured directly from the cyclist's
output; the Real E-motion utilizes a sophisticated
formula to calculate power indirectly.
Also, there are several variables not known by the
programme (for example: type of tyre, tyre width,
pressure between tyre and small rollers, tempe-
rature, etc.), which have an affect on the power
generated by the system.
For these two reasons, the accuracy of the value
displayed is variable and cannot be known.
However, it is possible to carry out a calibration
procedure with your own bicycle, if you have an
ergometer*. In being done with your own bicycle,
this procedure enables greater precision and the-
refore a reduction in the power measurement
error.
For more information on the calibration procedu-
re, consult on the Help (press F1) of the program-
me in the section of the same name.

by the rider when pedalling.

CADENCE SENSOR

The Real E-motion uses an innovative "sensorless"
system that utilizes a sophisticated calculation based
on speed to track pedal cadence.
When maintaining a high pedal cadence at low resi-
stance levels, there may occasionally be a slight
