Electrical connection
When using the T-plug connectors (T40-A2191N) are
used for series connection, the connecting cables and
the end plug (T40-A3191N) are to be installed so that
the safety switch T40-E01 cannot be jumped.
The safety switch can be reset using the RST input. A
voltage of 24 V must applied to the RST input for at least
3 seconds. During this time the supply voltage to the
safety switch is interrupted.
 If the RST input (hardware reset) is not used, it must be
connected to 0 V.
A higher level controller cannot identify which safety switch
has switched to the safe state.
The T40-E01 has no external device monitoring. To
achieve SIL3/PL e, external device monitoring of the
superordinate safety evaluation must be used, for
example, by using a suitable safety relay.
The performance level actually reached or the SIL claim
limit reached depends on the outside termination, the
design of the wiring, the choice of control devices and
their placement on the machine.
