Instruction for work
The hydraulic selection valve is in the "FLOAT" position.
Monitor the pressure of the hydraulic fluid in the relief
system with the pressure gauge. We recommend that
you set the pressure so that you can lift the mower
from the side with approx. 80kg lifting force, while the
side shields are lowered.
For work on level terrain and with lower working
speeds, the mower can be relieved more. For work on
slopes and with greater working speeds, the mower
can be relieved less so it copies the surface more
efficiently.
– The hydraulic system is filled with
hydraulic fluid under pressure and
presents a risk for the health of people
in case of breakdown.
– The hydraulic accumulators are filled
with gas under pressure – danger of
explosion.
When the relief pressure is set, you can move the
hydraulic selection valve back in the "LIFT" position
and lift the mower all the way up. If the pressure on the
pressure gauge falls to zero, the relief pressure is too
low and should be raised.
During normal operation of the scythe, when the latter
copies the surface 200mm downward and 300
upward, the pressure on the pressure gauge should
not change for more than +10 bar. By changing the
pressure, the force working to the surface is
maintained throughout the entire travel of the mower.
– When lowering the mower from the
lifted position to the surface, always
leave the two-way hydraulic circuit on,
even after the mower is placed on the
surface, until the lifting cylinder
reaches the final position.
The figure shows the lifting cylinder in the final
position (approx. middle of the guide eye), and the
relief cylinder in the middle, working position.
The lifting cylinder is equipped with the guide eye, thus
every time we place the scythe onto the surface, we
make sure that the cylinder shrinks completely and
then close the hydraulic circuit on the tractor (usually
the middle position of the hydraulics control handle).
This way we achieve that during mowing, the mower is
only affected by the closed hydraulic circuit of the
relief system and there is no interaction between the
tractor and the mower, which would slow down the
responsiveness when copying the terrain.
– When mowing a meadow, you should
only use the mower lifting cylinder to
lift the mower at the end of the swath,
namely by lifting it about 300mm from
the ground and placing it into a new
swath. The three-point connection of
the tractor is in the floating position
and hanging on the chains all the time.
