d) Commissioning the RC System

Observe the separate operating instructions of your remote control system!
The operation of the transmitter is possible with rechargeable batteries and normal batteries. When using rechargeable batteries, make sure that these have a
high capacity. Otherwise, service life is reduced. When using batteries in the remote control, we recommend the use of high-quality alkaline batteries. Ensure
sufficient residual capacity with a battery tester.
If the batteries/rechargeable batteries are empty, always replace the complete set (never individual cells!). Always use batteries or rechargeable batteries of the
same type and manufacturer. Never mix batteries and rechargeable batteries.
The operation of the receiver is generally possible with rechargeable batteries and normal batteries. However, observe the lower voltage when using mignon
rechargeable batteries (4 x batteries 1.5 V each = 6 V, 4 x rechargeable batteries 1.2 V each = 4.8 V). This lower voltage leads to a reduction of the operating time
and may cause impairment of the RC system. Battery boxes where batteries or rechargeable batteries are inserted with plug contacts also do not offer as secure
contacts as soldered battery cells.
Our advice:
To operate the receiver, you should therefore use a high-current capable
5-cell rechargeable battery pack (hump rechargeable battery pack, see
figure 2, item 1) with an operating voltage of 6 V.
• Insert the 4 batteries/rechargeable batteries (type mignon/AA) into the battery
compartment of the transmitter and observe the correct polarity!
• Open the RC box on the chassis.
• Connect the 6 V receiver battery (hump rechargeable battery pack, figure 2, item 1)
to the switch cable (figure 2, item 2). Observe correct polarity and a tight fit of the
plug. Carefully connect both plugs.
• Reinsert the hump battery pack (figure 3, item 1) with the cables and the receiver
(figure 3, item 2) into the RC box. Ideally, wrap the components named in a little
foamed rubber.
When closing the RC-box later, observe that the servo cables are located in the cut-
out of the RC-box (figure 3, item 3) and are not crushed.
• Guide the aerial wire of the receiver outwards through one of the openings in the
cover of the RC box (figure 4, item 1). The unused aerial feedthrough must be
closed, e.g. with an adhesive strip from the inside.
• Thread the aerial of the receiver through the enclosed aerial guide tube.
• Now plug the bottom end of the aerial guide tube into the recess on the cover of the
RC box (figure 4, item 2).
• Secure the aerial tube in the aerial foot (e.g. with a drop of instant adhesive).
Never shorten the aerial wire!
• Switch on the transmitter. The control LED or display of the transmitter should be
brightly lit. If it is not lit, check the batteries/rechargeable batteries and replace them
if required.
• Switch the receiver on with the switch on the cover of the RC box. The servos
should now move to the neutral position.
Always proceed in the correct order for switching the transmitter and
receiver on/off!
Switching on: Always switch on the transmitter first, then the receiver.
Switching off: Always switch off the receiver first, then the transmitter.
The remote control provided with the model has only been pre-set. Before
the first drive, the throttle and steering travel must be adjusted to ensure
that the servos will not be blocked at full power (humming servos).
If this is not observed, the operating duration of the receiver battery is
clearly reduced. The respective servo electronic and the servo gear may
be damaged as well. Loss of guarantee/warranty!
