6.13 Condensation trap
During operation, condensate forms on the heat
exchangers in the air conditioning system. This water
must be drained to the outside.
The condensate flows through two drainage openings
in the bottom of the air conditioning system (Fig. 29)
onto the vehicle roof (Fig. 30) and from there to the
ground.

Instructions for installation
The surface of the vehicle roof must be designed at

the drainage points so that the condensation from
the air conditioning system can drain freely.
The drain openings must be free of dirt or other
•
blockages.

The surrounding foam rubber seal must not be
•
damaged and the vehicle roof must be level over
the entire contact surface of the seal. Otherwise
condensation, dew or rainwater could penetrate the
vehicle interior and cause damage to the vehicle.
