10. Appendix
10.1 Storing gas cylinders
In addition to the statutory regulations applicable to storing gas cylinders, the
following points must also be observed:
 Never store in the vicinity of highly flammable or explosive substances.
 Never store in the immediate vicinity of heat sources (e.g. heating).
 Store protected from direct sunlight.
 Keep out of reach of children.
 Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated room that is not below ground level.
 Not permitted are basements, shafts, stairwells, corridors and hallways,
passages or bedrooms.
 The gas cylinders must be stored upright and secured against falling over.
 The valves must be fully and tightly closed and fitted with a protective cap.
