Preparing for cooking
Before cooking, the appliance must be checked.
Make sure the appliance is set up correctly.
"3.2 Set-up location requirements" (page 50).
Make sure the appliance is undamaged.
Make sure the gas hoses are undamaged and non-porous.
Make sure the screw connections on the gas hose are secure and tight-fitting.
Make sure the collection tray and the drain plates are free of grease residues.
Make sure that the burners are dry.
Make sure that there is no perceptible smell of gas.
If the appliance has not been used for more than 3 months:
Carry out a leak test.

Check the burner and the burner pipes for blockages (e.g. caused by insects).

Open the front drawer until it reaches
the locking point (free-standing
appliance only).
"3.4 Setting up the stand-alone
unit" (page 51).
Slide the handle to the right until it
clicks into place.
Remove the burner cover from the
burner crown.
Insert the burner cover in the storage
slot (free-standing appliance only).
Make sure that the following parts
are fitted:
 Burner element
 Burner crown
 Burner centre cover
 Pan insert

Starting cooking
 WARNING!
Danger due to explosion!
If the burner cover is closed and the gas cylinder is open, an explosive mixture
may form in the appliance. Igniting the burner can cause a serious explosion.
Make sure that the burner cover is removed.
Make sure that the gas regulator is in
the "Off" position.
Open the tap on the gas cylinder.
Close the front drawer (free-standing
appliance only).
