4.1
Safety instructions for the leak test
 WARNING!
Risk of fire and explosion due to gas leak!
If the appliance is leaking, uncontrolled gas can escape during use. This can
ignite and cause a fire or explosion.
Never operate a appliance if a gas leak has been detected.
Carry out a leak test regularly to ensure the safety of the appliance.
The appliance was tested for gas leaks before delivery. Nevertheless, a leak test
must be carried out before commissioning, after maintenance work and after a
longer period of non-use.
Only carry out this test outdoors.
Carry out this test away from any naked flames or sparks.
Only carry out this test once the appliance has cooled down completely and is
not in use.
4.2
Preparing a leak test
Mix 150 ml of water with 50 ml soap or dish detergent to make a soapy
solution.
Have a brush, paintbrush or spray bottle ready.
Open the appliance lid.
Make sure that the gas regulator is closed.
Remove the worktop.

Leak test up to the gas regulator
Apply soapy water to all connections
of gas-carrying parts up to the gas
regulator.
Open the tap on the gas cylinder.
If bubbles form at the connections of
gas-carrying parts:
Stop the gas supply by screwing the
gas cylinder closed.
Tighten the corresponding
connection.
Repeat the test.
If bubbles continue to form:
Stop the gas supply by screwing the
gas cylinder closed.
Switch the appliance off and do not
use it.
Contact your dealer or the
Flammkraft service department.
If no bubbles form:
 The gas connection up to the gas
regulator is OK.
Stop the gas supply by screwing the
gas cylinder closed.
