Operation
8.1
Changing the collet chuck
ATTENTION
• Change the collet chuck only when the motor spindle is completely stand still.
• Secure the frequency inverter from unexpectedly switching on.
• Never clamp the collet chuck without an inserted tool or dowel pin. Danger of permanent deformation.
• Only operate or store the motor spindle with clamped tool or dowel pin.
8.1.1
Inserting collet chuck
ATTENTION
Observe recommended tightening torques.
•
Activate tool change – open collet chuck.
•
Insert new collet chuck (2) with inserted tool or dowel pin into the shaft.
•
Screw collet chuck (2) in by hand in direction of the arrow
•
Deactivate tool change – close collet chuck.
8.1.2
Remove collet chuck
•
Activate tool change – open collet chuck.
•
After the collet chuck (2) has opened, rotate it manually in the direction of the arrow
removed forwards.
•
Only use the ring wrench if the collet chuck (2) is stuck tightly and only with the tool or dowel pin inserted.
8.2
Tool Change
ATTENTION
• Tools may only be changed when the motor spindle is at a complete standstill.
• Frequency inverters must be secured against unintentional switch-on.
• Never clamp collet chuck without tool or dowel pin inserted. Danger of permanent deformation.
• Only operate or set down the motor spindle with the tool or dowel pin clamped.
The tool change should be performed according to the following flow chart:
•
Ensure complete standstill of the spindle shaft.
•
Activate tool change – open the collet chuck.
•
Remove the old tool.
•
Insert new tool. The tool should protrude from the collet chuck as short as possible.
•
Deactivate tool change – close collet chuck.
•
Spindle shaft can be accelerated again.
until limit stop and tighten (tightening torque 0.2 – 0.5 Nm).
until the collet chuck (2) can be
