3.4 Storage
ATTENTION
The following precautions must be taken before storing the motor spindle:
• Remove dust and cooling lubricants from housing by fiber free cloth.
• Remove remaining cooling fluid from internal cooling channels (if present) by blowing out with compressed air.
• Clamp a tool or dowel pin in the collet chuck.

Grease distribution run after storage
To avoid significant damage to the spindle bearing, a grease distribution run must be carried out after the spindle has been
stored for a longer period of time (see chapter
