ATTENTION
For proper operation of the electrical tool change, the following points must be observed for the power supply:
• It is recommended to connect an electrical capacitor with min. 1,000µF/35V to the power supply of the electrical tool
change unit. The capacitor stabilizes the power supply (buffering) and reduces voltage peaks.
• Only connect and disconnect connectors without power supply!
• Never exceed the maximum supply voltage of 28 V DC under any circumstances!
• Ensure correct wiring to avoid damage to the electrical tool change unit. The electrical tool change system is not
protected against wrong polarity.
Each time the power supply is switched on, the electrical tool change calibrates itself automatically.
The calibration takes 1.5 seconds and serves to compensate for all possible tolerances.
Digital Input
The digital input accepts input signals up to +24 V (nominal). At high level voltage the collet chuck opens and remains open until the
low level voltage is applied again.

Digital output – clamping monitoring
The electrical tool change has a digital output Out_1. The digital output can be used to query the clamping situation at the collet
chuck. The output cannot be loaded and can only be evaluated via a relay.
