If operating with inline prefiltration:
t
Run the LC system at a low flow rate (~ 1 mL/min).
t
Disconnect the UNF 10|32 adapters from each other.
t
Connect the upstream UNF 10|32 adapter (4) to the microfilter inlet .
t
Fill the microfilter (5) with equilibration buffer via the LC system.
t
Connect the microfilter outlet to the product inlet (6) drop-to-drop.

Remove the protective cap from the product outlet .
t
If air was introduced into the product:
t
Invert the product so that the arrow indicating the flow direction (7)
t
points up .
Rinse the product with equilibration buffer until no air bubbles

t
emerge from the product outlet.
Return the product to an upright position with the arrow indicating
t
the flow direction pointing down.
Connect the downstream UNF 10|32 adapter (8) to the product outlet.
t
The product is installed in an upright position in the process flow.

Flush the product with 10 mL equilibration buffer at up to 25 mL/min.
t
The product is equilibrated and ready for sample loading.
