2 Safety Instructions
2 . 1 Intended Use
The product is designed for the rapid purification of antibodies, including
immunoglobulin G (IgG) and monoclonal antibodies (mAb), and fragment
crystallizable (Fc) containing molecules . The product can be operated
manually with a syringe, or with a peristaltic pump or liquid chromatography
system.
The product is designed for general laboratory use and early research and
development. Not intended for human or veterinary use, or for use in in vitro
diagnostic or clinical procedures .
The product is supplied non-sterile.
The product can be used for multiple purification cycles, provided that the
instructions and recommendations for sample prefiltering, use,
regeneration, and storage of the product are followed.
The product is intended exclusively for use in accordance with these
instructions. Any other use is considered improper and can interfere with
the product's protective functions.
Operating Conditions for the Product
The product may only be used under the operating conditions described in
the Technical Data section of these instructions .
2 . 1 . 1 Modifications to the Product
If the product is modified, persons may be put at risk. Product-specific doc-
uments and product approvals may lose their validity.
Contact Sartorius if you have any questions concerning modifications.
2 .2 Qualifications of Personnel
Persons who do not possess adequate knowledge about how to use the
product may injure themselves and other persons.
2 .3 Accessories
The use of unsuitable accessories can affect the functionality and operating
reliability of the product and have the following consequences:
— Risk of injury to persons
— Damage, malfunctions, or failure of the product
