Operation
16 Instructions for Use Sartobind
Requirements
The pump tubing is loaded into the peristaltic pump and filled with equili-
bration buffer .
Procedure
Run the peristaltic pump at a low flow rate .

Hold the product in an upright position with the arrow indicating the flow

direction (2) pointing down.

Remove the protective cap (1) from the product inlet.

If operating without inline prefiltration:
t
Connect the Luer-Lock connector (3) on the pump tubing to the
t
product inlet (4) drop-to-drop .

If operating with inline prefiltration:
t
Connect the Luer-Lock connector (5) on the pump tubing to the mi-
t
crofilter inlet .
Fill the microfilter (6) with buffer via the pump.
t

Connect the microfilter outlet to the product inlet (7) drop-to-drop.

Remove the protective cap from the product outlet.
t
If air was introduced into the product:
t
Invert the product so that the arrow indicating the flow direction (8)
t
points up .
Rinse the product with equilibration buffer until no air bubbles
t
emerge from the product outlet.

Return the product to an upright position with the arrow indicating
t
the flow direction pointing down.
Flush the product with 10 mL equilibration buffer at up to 25 mL/min.
t
The product is equilibrated and ready for sample loading.
