5 .4 Using a LC System
5 .4 . 1 Preparing the LC System
Materials required:
Procedure
Prepare the LC system for purification (see instructions for the LC sys-

tem).
Connect the UNF 10|32 adapters to the LC system. Make sure the con-

nections are fluid-tight.
5 .4 .2 Installing and Equilibrating the Product
Materials required:
Requirements
The UNF 10|32 adapters are connected to the LC system.
Procedure
Flush the LC system with equilibration buffer.

Make sure the flow path is free from air.
t
Hold the product in an upright position with the arrow indicating the flow
t
direction (2) pointing down.

Remove the protective cap (1) from the product inlet.

If operating without inline prefiltration:
t
Run the LC system at a low flow rate (~ 1 mL/min).
t
Disconnect the UNF 10|32 adapters from each other.
t
Connect the upstream UNF 10|32 adapter (3) to the product inlet
t
drop-to-drop.
