WARNING!
The following points come under intended use:
– Only validated chemical liquids may be metered.
– Depending on the material design, the metering system is intended for
acidic and alkaline products.
– The pump has been developed and built for industrial and commercial use.
Private use is prohibited!
– The following data and settings must comply with the pump's technical
specifications:
– Permissible ambient temperature, media temperature
– Back-pressure
– Metering rates
– Operating voltage
Any use that deviates from the specified purpose or any other type of use
shall be deemed misuse.
Danger in case of misuse
WARNING!
Misuse can lead to dangerous situations:
– Do not use metering media other than the specified product.
– Do not change the metering specifications for the product.
– Do not use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
– As with any equipment that includes microprocessors, avoid switching the
power supply on and off on a frequent basis. Use the metering release to
start and stop the pump and be aware of the higher start-up current during
start-up.
– The power must not be interrupted during start-up.
– Wear the prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE).
Reasonably foreseeable incorrect use
To maintain proper function, pay attention to the particular handling instructions.
Observance of these instructions can avoid any foreseeable incorrect use, according to
the risk analysis conducted by the manufacturer.
n Incorrect use of design variants
(e.g. incorrect sealing materials, incorrect pump head materials).
n Operating the unit using incorrect voltage supplies.
n Excessive back-pressures.
n Incompatible accessory parts.
n Incorrect dosing lines.
n Line cross-sections that are too small.
n Incorrect ambient temperatures or media temperatures.
n Excessive viscosities.
Operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.
