Operation
Actuate the hydraulic control lever to "Position 1",
•
hold this position for so long,
until the following movements have been completed:
1) Main tension closes
2) Main tension opens slightly
3) Side tension closes
4) Main tension closes
5) Side tension opens
Explanation: Control lever positions
•
•
Pos.1: Grip, drop, reset
•
Pos.0: Zero position
Pos.2: Counter-movement (e.g.: termination of the cycle)
•
This movement sequence automatically moves the block layer palletized on the so-called "cross joint"
•
into the "stretcher bond" when positioning adapters are used and set accordingly. The gripping attempt
can be aborted at any time by releasing the hydraulic control lever or by returning the control lever to
the center position. By pressing "close" again, the movement sequence is resumed and continued at
the interrupted point.Pressing "Pos. 1" resets the last movement performed.
Once the gripping process is complete (secondary clamp opens fully and swivels all the way up), return
•
the hydraulic control lever to the center position.
Lift the clamp with the gripped block layer and swivel to the laying position.
•
Position the gripped block layer approx. 5 cm away from the two contact edges in the direction of the
•
open subgrade until the two set-down rollers touch the already laid paving. Now pull the gripped block
layer diagonally into the corner of the contact edges and ensure that it engages precisely with any
interlocking of the paving.
TIP: Do not try to "thread" the stone layers in the direction of the secondary tension with the stones
already laid, this is generally not possible as the gripped stones are pressed against each other while
the stones already laid are loose. It is better to either remove the "key stones" before laying and
reinsert them later or, depending on the configuration, only insert additional stones after the laying
process.
By actuating the control lever to "Pos. 1" and holding the control lever in this position, the main tension
•
is opened a few centimetres, releasing the block layer so that it can be placed on the subgrade. Return
the control lever to the center position.
Lift the clamp.
•
•
When the clamp is freely suspended, press the control lever repeatedly to "Pos. 1" and hold it there
until the main clamp is fully open and the forcing-off cylinder has been extended.
TIP: To save time, the clamp can also be actuated while the clamp is being swung back to pick up the
next block layer.
The laying cycle is now complete and the clamp is ready to receive the next layer of blocks to be laid.
•
The installation cycle is only complete when ADV springs (see in Fig. 1) are completely visible again.
