Changing the jaw width
For optimum gripping of the block layers, it is
possible to change the jaw width accordingly.
The reason for this is that the outer spring steel
plates (Figure 22.1) often protrude slightly during the
gripping process on the outside of the block layer,
which can make it difficult to place them on an
already laid block layer.
Depending on the situation, the two outer spring steel
slats (on the face and on the machine side of the
main span) are replaced by the corresponding
accessory spring steel slats (Bild 22.2).

Setting the side tension
The side tension is set by adjusting the adjusting
screw (on both sides of the side tension) (see)
1) 1Set the side tension to the stone layer width
with a socket wrench according to the scale

2) Close the anti-rotation lock again to prevent
the adjusting screw from turning (see Fig.
