6 Operation
6.1 General
Never close the main clamp (with or without stone layer) when the secondary clamp is closed.
Otherwise there is a risk that the main clamping jaws will press against the half-irons (of the
secondary clamping) and the gripper cheeks of the main clamping can be bent/damaged as a
result.
If the boom arm of the carrier (excavator) is moved too far outwards with the stone layer
gripped, there is a risk of the carrier (excavator) tipping over - due to the weight of the laying
tongs and the weight of the stone layer. Therefore, pay attention to the tipping stability of the
carrier (excavator).
ATTENTION!
CARRY OUT A FUNCTIONAL AND VISUAL CHECK BEFORE EACH USE!
SET THE HVZ-ECO HYDRAULIC LAYING CLAMP AS DESCRIBED IN THE "SETTINGS" CHAPTER.
• The HVZ-ECO is operated using state-of-the-art drum control. The outstanding advantage of such technology,
which is used in all modern construction machines, is that different movement sequences can be activated via
counter-movement, depending on the requirement profile.
For use on excavators:
•
Familiarize yourself with the operating elements of the carrier for the two control circuits for clamp actuation and
rotary head actuation. In particular, memorize which lever function causes the clamp to open (usually actuation
of the hydraulic control lever away from the operator) so that you do not accidentally actuate this function when
the HVZ-ECO is raised with the stone layer gripped, causing the stone layer to fall out of the clamp.
Risk of accident!
If possible, operate the control levers while the carrier is at idle speed.
6.2 Programs
The following program is stored in the current version:

well as stone layers that simply need to be compacted and laid from 4 sides.
