Main Menu
Before starting measurements, flush the sample and reference cell
with eluent and allow the HPLC system to equilibrate for a sufficient
time (min. 15 minutes). After the system has equilibrated the RI
detector is ready for data acquisition.
The software is divided in various menus, each of which allows particular
settings and operational modes. You reach the single menus by
positioning the cursor on the rhombus field ♦ followed by pressing the ▲
or ▼ keys. As indicated in Fig. 8 , the menus will be called up in an
endless loop.

Menu Sequence of the RI Detector 2300/2400
The single menus will be described here in detail. Inside of any menu the
cursor can be moved to the next or previous field using the ► or ◄ keys
respectively. There it is possible to increase or decrease the
corresponding parameter settings by help of the ▲ or ▼ keys. In some
cases you can scroll with the ▲ or ▼ keys through the available options.
Moving to another entry field using the ► or ◄ keys results in the
changes entered to be confirmed.

The main menu shows the current time constant and signal intensity.
Light intensity (in %) is only shown if it falls below the preset value for
limit (in the I + I menu) otherwise this field is empty.

The currently measured signal intensity is displayed with five digits and a
fixed decimal point.
