Assembling WAGO Plugs

SOP 2

Connecting other Instruments to the RI Detector 2300/2400
Remote Control Connections
GROUND
GROUND for all inputs and outputs.
+5V
Caution! This connection is not to be used. It serves
for service purposes only.
START
A short circuit to GROUND puts through the start signal
(Trigger) to the HPLC software (if connected via RS 232
and supported by the software).
AUTOZERO
A Short circuit to GROUND triggers an Autozero signal.
Measurement restarts after the signal is switched off.
FLUSH
A Short circuit to GROUND causes activation of the flush
solenoid valve for a preset period of time. Sample and
reference cell are switched in series and both will be
flushed. A permanent short circuit, duration >2s, activates
this function as long as the signal will be present.
ERROR OUT
An error signal is activated as long as the error is shown
on the display, for example in case of a signal overflow
(error: +5 V, no error: 0 V).
GROUND
GROUND for all inputs and outputs.
For the electrical connections to other instruments via the remote control
strip enclosed 8-fold WAGO plug strips are used. They may be mounted
as follows.
Assembling WAGO plugs
1. Insert the rounded end of the lever latch into the square opening of
the selected connector of the plug.
2. Press the lever down as indicated by the arrow.
3. Insert the non insulated end of the cable into the opening under the
lever.
4. Release the lever and remove the lever latch from the plug.
