The refractive index detectors Smartline RI Detector 2300 and 2400
represent consistent advances in comparison to their very successful
predecessors.
By refining the optical bench, crucial parameters such as drift, noise, and
temperature stability were noticeably improved.
The design of both Smartline refractive index detectors allows for their
use as stand-alone instruments as well as integrated into a Smartline
Tower. The eluent connectors are easily accessible as they are located
behind the front panel, on which the display and keypad are placed. The
redesigned control elements and the enlarged display markedly simplify
the operation of these detectors.
The Smartline RI detectors are fully integrated into the KNAUER
® ®
ChromGate and EuroChrom software packages. They can also be
easily integrated into any manufacturers' system by utilization of the
KNAUER open communication protocol. The connection is flexibly
realized by means of the RS-232 interface or the remote control socket.
The KNAUER RI detectors of the Smartline series fulfil all of the needs of
modern refractive index detection systems. They are best suited for the
detection of substances that do not absorb in the UV range, both in HPLC
and gel permeation chromatography (GPC/SEC) applications.
The Smartline RI Detector 2300 can be used in analytical applications
for flow rates up to 5 ml/min. The Smartline RI Detector 2400 has been
developed for flow rates of up to 100 ml/min for semi-preparative use.
Digital data acquisition and control of the auto-zero feature, as well as
rinsing functions, can be easily carried out from a PC. An additional
analog output also makes it very simple to connect the detectors to an
integrator or chart recorder.
