37. Children must be supervised, so that they do not play with the
vacuum sealer.
38. The appliance resp. the sealing bar is equipped with overheat
protection. If it is triggered, the appliance has to be allowed to
cool down for a few minutes before it can be operated again.
To prevent the sealing bar from overheating, performing too
many consecutive sealing processes should be avoided. The
appliance is designed for domestic use and not for permanent

operation.
39. Before using, always check that your hands are clean and dry.
40. Use exclusively Solis vacuum bags or containers that were
designed for this appliance. The Solis container must be
undamaged and free of cracks. Use the appliance only for vac-
uum sealing and sealing of vacuum bags resp. for marinating
foods using the Solis containers. Never misuse the appliance!
41. Do not place anything on the appliance while it is in use or in
storage.
42. Pull the plug after every use. Only then, the appliance is fully
switched off.
43. The appliance has to be cleaned after every use. Please refer to
the notes given in the section "Cleaning and Care" on page
153 of this manual.
44. Only clean the appliance chassis with a dry or slightly moist
cloth. Never use aggressive, abrasive or acidic detergents for
cleaning.
45. When lifting or moving the appliance, always disconnect the
power plug first and only touch the vacuum sealer by the base.
Always move the appliance very carefully and do not shake or
throw it, it might be damaged.
46. Only use the appliance if it is properly assembled and all lids
are shut.

47. Avoid sucking in liquids to prevent them from entering the
vacuum chamber. Should any liquid be sucked in, it will mostly
be collected by the drip tray. In such a case, empty the drip tray
and wipe away all liquid remaining in the vacuum chamber.
48. Should you notice a strange smell or sound, pull the plug. Do
not start using the appliance again before having its function-
ality and safety checked by Solis or a service centre authorised
by Solis.
49. Oils or lubricants must not be used with this appliance.
50. Never touch the sealing bar shortly after a vacuum sealing pro-
cess! The sealing bar is strongly heated and could injure you!
