Using the X-node app, the following functions can be configured or
executed on the X-node:
– Display of current gas reading
– Display of current temperature, relative humidity and air pressure
– Configuration of alarm limits, display patterns and display intervals
– Access to sensor and device information
– Access to configuration of LoRa settings
– Firmware updates
– Zero and span calibration
5.4.2
Access authorisation
Various authorisations are used to access the X-node via the app.
The following authorisations are available:
– User Level
– Owner Level
User Level:
The User Level provides access to the functions required to view
measurement data or change settings (e.g. alarm limits, status LED
patterns, calibration). The device-specific User PIN, which activates
the User Level or provides access to LoRa-relevant connection
parameters, is only assigned at Owner Level.
The User Level can only be used once a 6-digit User PIN has been
assigned by the "Owner" at Owner Level. If there is no PIN saved by
the Owner, the app will request the entry of the Owner Key and the
subsequent assignment of a User PIN.
Without a User PIN, the app cannot connect with the X-node.
The User Level can be reset by decoupling the X-node (see
"Resetting the connection", page 61).

Owner Level:
In addition to user authorisations, there are also authorisations for the
following functions at Owner Level:
– Changing the device-specific User PIN
– Viewing and changing the LoRa parameters for integration into a
LoRa network:
– Access to AppKey
– Changing the AppEUI
The Owner Key is a 12-digit code comprising numbers and capital
letters. The Owner Key is assigned at the factory, cannot be changed
and is unique to each device.
The Owner Key can be found on the Owner Key card that comes with
the device.
The Owner Level can be reset by decoupling the X-node (see
"Resetting the connection", page 61).
