3. Installation
The Tractel
travsafe™ sliders are designed to receive
®
fall arrest systems. It is essential to check that the
use of these fall arrest devices is appropriate for the
technical characteristics of the lifeline used.
The travsafe™ sliders are designed to be used on
Tractel
travsafe™ two steel rope ∅ 8 mm lifelines in
®
either stainless or galvanised steel.
«IMPORTANT»: The maximum operating load
for the travsafe™ sliders is 150 kg. It is very important
to check, before use, that all the components of the
of
operator's fall arrest system are compatible with this
load, by referring to each component's manual. If this
is not the case, the maximum load will be that of the
fall-arrest
system
maximum load. travsafe™ lifelines have a maximum
load per operator of 150 kg.
3.1. Using the travsafe™ sliders
In General
Figures 2, 3 and 4 respectively describe the
implementation of standard or standard burnished,
opening or burnished opening and rollsafe sliders on
the lifeline. Figure 1 describes the installation of the
connector on the slider anchoring ring.
«IMPORTANT»: Any slider assembly failing to
comply with the procedure in this manual, will be
entirely at the user's risk.
«IMPORTANT»: The installation and removal of
the sliders must be achieved in a safe area, with no
risk of falling.
«IMPORTANT»: The travsafe™ sliders are the
only means of connecting the operator to the
travsafe™ lifelines.
